Joshua Santhosh

FAQ

Every question, answered in full.

I’m Joshua Santhosh, a Shopify developer in Jackson, Tennessee. I overhaul Shopify stores for conversions, on mobile and desktop, in the theme they already have: $495 flat, done in 2 days or it’s free, with a full refund within 30 days. Here are straight answers to the questions people ask, including the skeptical ones.

The offer

What do I get for $495?

A conversion-focused UX overhaul of your Shopify store, on mobile and desktop, built in the theme you already have. You also get a plain-English list of every change and why, one round of revisions, and an optional call to walk you through the changes. One flat price for one defined scope.

Which parts of my store do you work on?

The pages where shoppers decide whether to buy: your home page, collection pages, product page and cart, plus the navigation between them. Within those, I focus on what shoppers see before they scroll far: the first three screens of the product page, the first two of the home page, and the first screen of collections and the cart. I don’t touch Shopify’s checkout. It’s already one of the most optimized checkouts in ecommerce, and my job is getting more shoppers to it.

Why is it only $495? What’s the catch?

The price is low because of how the work is set up, not because the work is thin. There’s no overhead: no account managers, sales team, discovery workshops or project-management tools to pay for. And the scope is fixed and the process is systematic, refined over years of doing this work, so the time goes into the changes that cost you sales rather than into working out where to start.

Is there an upsell after the $495?

No. I sell one thing, and $495 is the whole price. There’s no retainer, subscription or “phase two.” A recent client asked to keep working together afterwards, and I told them plainly that I don’t have a follow-on package to sell. If I spot something outside the scope, I’ll tell you before touching it, and you decide. You’ll never get a bill you didn’t agree to.

Will it still look like my brand?

Yes. I work in your existing theme, with your photos and your voice. This isn’t a redesign, and I won’t ask for new photography or a new theme.

Will you add apps to my store?

No. Anything I add, like size upgrades in the cart or “pairs well with” picks, is built into your theme. That means no new monthly fees and no plugin bloat.

Is it right for my store?

Who is this for?

Shopify founders who are getting traffic but not enough orders. They sell something good and suspect the store is getting in the way. Small stores and large catalogs both qualify.

Who isn’t it for?

True enterprise brands with complex custom builds and in-house teams. A larger CRO agency will likely serve you better, though I’m still happy to take a look. It’s also not for anyone who wants a full redesign or a new theme: I work with the store you have.

My store doesn’t get much traffic. Is it still worth it?

Yes. This is built for stores of any size, including ones with too little traffic to test changes formally. The work is based on established UX and conversion principles, so it doesn’t depend on having enough visitors to run an experiment first.

Do you run A/B tests?

No, and I don’t claim to. What you get is a full sweep of your store based on established UX and conversion principles, plus changes specific to your products and customers. If you have the traffic and want formal A/B testing, an agency that specializes in it is the better choice.

My store has thousands of products. Can you still help?

Yes. I work on the templates, not product by product. With 2,000 SKUs, I make your product page template work as well as it can for all of them, and every product that uses it benefits.

Do I have to pay upfront?

Only for the work itself. Talking first is free. If you already know you want this, start now: it’s the fastest path, and the 2-day clock starts as soon as you’ve paid and approved my collaborator request. If you’re not sure yet, book a call first. There’s nothing to pay for the call, and you only pay if you decide to go ahead. Either way, if I get into your store and find it isn’t a good fit for this work, I’ll tell you honestly and refund you in full.

Results and proof

Can you promise my conversion rate will go up?

No, and nobody honest can. Your traffic, products and season all move it. What I can do is fix what’s costing you sales, and show you what happened for a recent client, reported exactly as it was measured.

Is the 0.5% → 1.52% result real, and how was it measured?

Yes. Olive This Olive That’s store conversion rate went from 0.5% to 1.52% in Shopify Analytics, comparing the four weeks before the changes with the four weeks after. Traffic held steady at around 3,000 sessions in each four-week period, so the lift came from more of the same visitors buying, not from more visitors. Nearly all orders came from mobile. To be straight about it: the old site had bugs that likely stopped some mobile shoppers from buying at all, and fixing those was part of the jump, alongside the UX overhaul. The client also replaced their product photos on their own during that period, which is why the photos differ in the before and after screenshots. It’s one store, so treat it as evidence of what’s possible, not a forecast for yours.

Why do you show only one case study?

Because it’s the one store where I can say every change was mine. Before going independent, I spent three years as a developer at an agency, doing this same work on more than 20 client sites. That was team work, so I don’t present its results as my own. More case studies will follow.

Do you have reviews or testimonials?

Not on this site yet. The owner of Olive This Olive That was very happy with the work. Their store is live at olivethisolivethat.com, so you can judge it yourself.

You won’t promise a number, so why show a 3× result and a revenue calculator?

Because neither one is a promise. The 3× is what happened at one store, reported as it was measured. The calculator is arithmetic: it multiplies the traffic, order value and conversion rates you enter to show what a lift would be worth to you. It doesn’t predict what lift you’ll get.

Timing

How can a full overhaul take only 2 days?

The scope is fixed and the process is systematic. I work on the same set of pages for every store, in a set order, using a process refined over years of doing this work, then add what’s specific to yours. Most stores take me a few hours of focused work, which is why I can take on about two a day. I quote 2 days to leave room for the unexpected. If I miss it, the work is free.

When does the 2-day clock start, and what does it cover?

It starts when you approve my collaborator request in Shopify, and runs for 2 calendar days, weekends included. I send the request after you pay and fill in a short form, and Shopify emails you when it arrives. The 2 days cover the first delivery: the finished work, tested and ready to publish.

What if it takes longer than 2 days?

If the finished work isn’t delivered within 2 calendar days of you approving my collaborator request, it’s free, and you get your $495 back. The guarantee covers that first delivery. Revisions, and time spent scheduling a review before launch, aren’t part of the 2 days.

Do revisions count toward the 2 days?

No. The 2 days cover the first delivery. If you ask for revisions, they may take longer than 2 days, but I’ll turn them around within reason.

Will my store actually be live in 2 days?

The finished work will be ready to go live within 2 days. It’s delivered in an unpublished copy of your theme, so you decide when it goes live: publish it right away, or review it with me first. If you’d like to see the changes with me before they go live, scheduling that call can push the launch past 2 days. The work will still be ready on time, but delays from scheduling aren’t covered by the 2-day guarantee.

Can it be live before Black Friday?

Yes, if you start by November 24 and approve my collaborator request the same day. I recommend starting by November 20, so you have a few days to review the work and publish it before the traffic arrives. Spots go first come, first served.

Why might there be a wait?

I take on about two stores a day, so each one gets my full attention. That’s a real limit, not a countdown timer. I don’t expect to be fully booked often, and when demand spikes I’ll put in extra hours. If the week still fills up, spots go first come, first served.

How much of my time does it take?

About 10 minutes to start: fill out a short form, pay, and approve my collaborator request. After delivery, look over the changes and publish when you’re ready.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. There are no required meetings. If you’re not sure yet, you can book a free call before paying, and there’s one optional call after delivery to walk you through the changes.

Refunds

What is your refund policy?

If you’re not satisfied, tell me within 30 days of delivery and you get every dollar back. No reason needed, no forms, no arguing. The one condition is that a refund means you’re not keeping the work: your original theme stays live, or goes back live, and the new one isn’t used. Refunds go through Stripe to the card you paid with. Two other cases get a full refund too: if the finished work isn’t delivered within 2 calendar days of you approving my collaborator request, and if I find your store isn’t a good fit for this work.

What if I’m only unhappy with part of it?

That’s what the round of revisions is for. Tell me what isn’t working and I’ll adjust it. If you’re still not satisfied after that, the 30-day refund applies.

Store access and safety

Will this break my store?

No. All the work happens in an unpublished copy of your theme and is tested on mobile and desktop before anything goes live. Your original theme stays saved, so you can switch back in one click, any time.

What access do you need? Can you see my customer data?

You grant Shopify collaborator access; I never need your password. I request only what the work needs, which is mostly theme access. I don’t need your customers’ personal data. Shopify shows you the permissions I’m requesting before you approve, and you can remove my access whenever you want. The details are in my privacy policy.

After delivery

What do I get at the end?

Your updated store, a plain-English list of every change and why, one round of revisions, and an optional call to walk you through it all.

Who owns the work?

You do. The code lives in your store and it’s yours. No subscription, no lock-in.

Do you offer support after delivery?

This is a one-time project, not a retainer, so there’s no ongoing support plan. You get one round of revisions after delivery. Beyond that, if a bug traces back to something I built, that’s on me: tell me and I’ll fix it.

Freelancers disappear. Why won’t you?

Disappearing would cost me: if it isn’t done in 2 days, it’s free. And you deal with me directly, from the first message to the final fix, not a support inbox.

About me

Who are you?

I’m Joshua Santhosh, a Shopify developer in Jackson, Tennessee. I spent three years as a developer at an agency, working on more than 20 client sites. Now I work independently and offer one service. You deal with me directly from the first message to the final fix, and nobody else works on your store.

What will be on the Blog and Prompts pages?

Both are new. The blog will be writing on helping more shoppers buy on Shopify. Prompts will hold prompts for Shopify store owners, as part of the content I’m starting to publish. Neither is part of the $495 offer.

How do I get started?

Two ways. If you already know you want this, take the fastest path: go to joshuasanthosh.com/start, enter your email and store URL, and pay $495 through Stripe. Then give me your store’s myshopify.com address and I’ll send a collaborator request. The 2-day clock starts when you approve it. If you’re not sure yet, book a call first by emailing josh@joshuasanthosh.com. The call is free, and there’s nothing to pay until you decide to go ahead.
